Women’s Art Association of Hamilton (WAAH) – Coming & Going

New Works

September 5 – 28, 2014
Opening Reception Friday September 5, 7-9:30pm

Women's Art Association of Hamilton, invitation frontThe theme in this year’s exhibition is “coming and going” as the title states.
The theme Coming and Going evokes a variety of emotions and images. From the simple to complex, either positive or negative, all with one certainty: we will each have our own unique experience.
Works must reflect the theme and will be selected by the Carnegie Gallery.

This year the Carnegie has invited MARLA PANKO to be the Juror of the WAAH works.
Marla Panko holds an Honours degree in Fine Art from the University of Guelph, and a Masters of Fine Art from the University of Windsor. She has been a member of the Dundas Valley School of Art faculty since 1984 where she instructs adult classes in painting, colour theory, and composition. She is Chair of the DVSA Gallery, has served on the DVSA Board of Governors, and has been actively involved in the regional art community for over twenty-five years. We are honoured to have her curate the WAAH exhibition.
