Winterblooms 2018, postcardThe Carnegie Gallery, Dundas Valley School of Art, and Dundas Museum & Archives, are collaborating once again with local florists and Mohawk College’s Continuing Education Floral Design program to present Winterblooms: A Celebration of Art, Artifacts and Flowers. The four day event, running from January 25 – 28, will feature exhibits of original artworks and precious artifacts, accompanied by fresh floral arrangements that take their inspiration from their paired work of art.

Featured Artists: Eric Brittan, Wayne Clarke, Tamara Fernandes, Marisa Kelly, Patricia Kozowyk, Pam Lakin, Erie Long, Katherine MacDonald, Lynn Macintyre, Bill McKinnie, Beth McQueen, Colleen O’Reilly, Paula Papky, Paull Rodrigue, Monika Shedden, Rosemary Squire-Graydon, Dagmar Vrkljan and Shirley Whitaker.

Featured Artifacts: Treasures from the museum’s collection covering the 19th and 20th centuries, including textiles and accessories from the 1960s and 70s, decorative glassware and toys.

Featured Florists: Jeannette Cross, Wendy Downing, Gary Fleming, Carolyn Guiry, Linda Hartley, Jessica Hunter, Nicole Jacobs, Elizabeth Matheson and students from Mohawk College’s Continuing Education Floral Design program.
