A TALE OF TWO CLAUDES

An illustrated talk by Regina Haggo.

French artist Claude Lorrain is well known for his traditional landscapes. Impressionist painter, Claude Monet, was a revolutionary and a modernist. This talk looks at how Monet rejected the traditional landscape and revolutionized the art of landscape painting.

Regina Haggo is an art historian, public speaker, and former professor of art history in New Zealand who also writes a weekly column about art for the Hamilton Spectator.
