Heidi Schnabel – Vice Versa

Jewellery

March 6 – March 29, 2015
Opening reception Friday March 6, 7-9:30pm

Heidi Schnabel exhibition invitation for Vice Versa“Vice versa” meaning inversely or the other way around. In this collection of jewellery Heidi Schnabel has made pendants that can be added on to, flipped over, taken apart or worn separately. She enjoys crafting the subtle details such as a hidden stone inside a pendant or a secret message on the inside where only the wearer knows it is. Her attention to detail makes these simple shapes come to life, each as their own unique piece. Heidi carefully handcrafts her jewellery from gold, platinum or silver, she uses gemstones, diamonds, pearls, wood, beach stones or enamel to create a harmonious effect. For a one of a kind piece of jewellery she helps clients create a design especially for them. These original pieces will surely be destined to become a family heirloom.

Heidi has been designing and making jewellery since graduating from The Ontario College of Art and Design and George Brown College. She moved her Toronto studio to the Valley City Manufacturing Building in downtown Dundas in 2014. She has had many exhibitions and shows over the years, and has been featured on City TV’s Breakfast Television, Sue Warden’s Craftscapes, and Hamilton’s local news. Heidi also taught jewellery classes at George Brown College and Mohawk College.

Her work varies from traditional wedding bands to original designs. She has also made movie props for The Borrowers and Three to Tango.
