An announcement made by MPP Ted McMeekin at the Dundas Historical Museum and Archives on Monday, July 25, 2011 gave the Carnegie Gallery and the Dundas Museum $2.45M to split for upcoming building and accessibility plans—funding that supports art and art history in the local community. Funding for the Carnegie will go toward a building addition that will open more floor space and modernize parts of the property, including a brand new glass structure.
